I am currently teaching two Creation tools Workshops, in person and online:

1. LUCID MOTION: creation tools workshop: contemporary dance, contact mechanics, acrobatics technique and theatre tools.

Little by little my workshops have become a space to explore that place where theatre, acrobatics, and movement (contemporary dance & contact) meet. The aim of the workshop is to use different creation tools to combine contact-improvisation technique, theatre tools and acrobatic exercises to develope a communicational, expressional movement while we try to reach a complete available open body ready to perform. These tools will be used as a vehicle to open a wide range of possibilities of expression that will be awakened by self-exploring and connecting with our undiscovered, hidden or blocked capacities of expression. We will utilize improvisations bounds by a clear objective as a way to reach new depths breaking the apparent limits imposed by the premise of the activity. We will endeavor to become more aware of what we generate while we move developing an understanding of how what we feel inside relates to how we engage with the outside (space, time, music/sounds, silence, movement, others). We will focus one-on-one exercises but we’ll also participate in group and individual activities.

The aim of the workshop is to combine dance (contemporary dance & contact-improvisation technique), theatre tools and acrobatic exercises to develope a communicational/expresive movement, individual and between two bodies. This communication requires our complete disposition. Besides the body we will try to dance in connection with our thoughts and sensations, paying attention on what we are thinking and feeling while we move, in order to reach a complete, opened, available body ready to perform. We will also try to reach an organic, risky and dynamic dance and just the right tone that our body needs for each movement.

The goal will be to recycle our own energy constantly and use our muscles strength as minimum as we need.

2. SENSITIVE MEMORY: It´s a path that I can cross being aware, re-creating and renewing the relationships I´ve established with time, space, my body, my thoughts and my sensations.

As in the Lucid Motion workshop Sensitive Memory  seeks to find an  expression of the unique movement of each participant by articulating tools of contemporary dance, contact mechanics, theater and acrobatics in a creative and playful way. This time with the goal to perform what´s been worked during the week the last day of the workshop. The main objective of this workshop is to create a Senstive Memory: an opened and flexible path in which we can re-create from the sensations and the intentions and, through them we can give shape to our movements along the ending performance of the workshop.

We will focus one-on-one exercises but we’ll also participate in group and individual activities .

Directed to anyone who is interested in the movement and the search for its particular expression. No previous experience is needed, no partner needed.
